Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues (24-31/10) From Finnish SM-league (24/10): TPS - JYP

Average odds1.704.373.53
------------------------------ TPS is playing well and won their last game 2-3 against high flyin' Lukko. The game before that didn't go so well I'm afraid (chills...) and TPS lost 3-1 to Ässät. Main reason in that lost game was perhaps the amount of pressure that was building on Ässät for losing all the time and the fans were waiting for results in home games... TPS just happened to stumple across at the wrong time. Now TPS is facing JYP which has been struggling all along, especially on road. JYP played their last two games on road against Kalpa and Ilves. Both of the opponents are pretty much easiest opponents that you can hope but JYP was in big trouble against them. First they barely took the points from Kalpa after a tight game that ended 4-5 in JYPs favor and then they lost 2-1 to Ilves. Now JYP is facing one of the best home teams in the league as TPS has a home record of five wins and two loses with goald diffr. of 24-9 (!!), last defeat was against mighty Kärpät. Can't see JYP getting any points in this fixture as they have only managed to get points on road once from last five away games and that was against the worst team in league, Kalpa (and even than it was very hard). TPS @1.65 10/10u from Betsafe Lukko - HIFK

------------------------------------ Here we have a home team that has improved their play alot lately vs a team that has far wider material but has been playing very poorly on road. I'm not going to even try quessing the winner of this fixture as both teams are playing like rollercoasters at times and their playing styles are pretty much the same: both of the teams don't mind how many goals they concede as far as they are ahead on scoreboard. So both teams have pretty crappy defenses and goaltenders aren't actually shining either. When we combine that to the fact that both teams are more than capable of scoring a few goals to opponents end and both take far too many penalties we have the incredients of a scoringfest. HIFK has conceded 28 goals in last five away games (5.6goals/match) and only one match ended under 5.5 goals which was against a very defensive minded team TPS. On the other hand six of last 10 matches of Lukko has ended over 5.5 goals and the four *under* matches were played in fixtures that point straight towards under (against Ilves that doesn't know how to score, Kärpät that have the best defense in the league...etc.). Look for open game, lots of penalties and shots on goal -> lots of goals. If someone had a gun pointed at my face I would say that Lukko will win this, otherwise no bet in ways of 1x2. Lukko-HIFK over 5.5 goals @1.65 10/10u from Betsafe Hämeenlinna - Ässät
Average odds1.484.764.69
-------------------------------- Hämeenlinna was underperforming at the beginning of the season but last games 4-1 win over Tappara shows that they just might be awakening. Ässät coming off a 3-6 home loss against Lukko and the team has been in a crisis (no wins->stress). Ässät has managed to get some points in home games but on road it has been a whole different story as they have lost four of seven games and from last four road games they've only got points from poor Kalpa (3-4OT) but other than that they've only sucked big time at away: last three lost away games show a goaldiff. of 7-22 which is terrible. Now facing HPK that is superior in every area compared to Ässät there is little hope for points. Furthermore it doesn't help Ässät that they are going to miss their best player, Marko Kivenmäki, in this game. Easy home win. Hämeenlinna @1.50 10/10u from Betsafe Pelicans - Kalpa
Average odds1.434.835.11
----------------------------- There is nothing much to say about this match. Kalpa is the utter shite of the league and has lost 7 of it's eight road games during which they've only managed to score only nine (!) goals. Now facing the third best home team in the league they don't stand much of a chance. Furthermore quote of the week from fresh Kalpa-coach Pekka Virta: ¨After a defeat the depression strikes to the guys. They'll read every magasine and what some 11-year old boy writes about them in some chat¨ :D Pelicans @ 1.40 10/10u from Betsafe Ilves - Kärpät
Average odds2.684.192.03
------------------------------ Here we have a home team that has scored the fewest amount of goals in the league and an away team that has scored the most. Both teams have outstanding defenses and goaltenders and take few penalties. Ilves's defense is much tighter at home and on the other hand Kärpät can't seem to find the net too often when on road. From last ten Ilves's games eight has ended under 5.5goals and four of last 5 meetings between the teams have ended under (icluding last seasons four meetings + this season one game, ended 2-0 for Kärpät). So this game basicly has under 5.5goals written all over it and I'll bite. Ilves - Kärpät under 5.5 goals @1.70 10/10 from Betsafe
