First Goalscorers

Simple enough - the idea is to back a first goalscorer for every Premiership game based on historical data for this season only. It's just a bit of fun, so haven't backtested previous seasons and have no idea if it's going to work or not, but I will carry it on until I'm fabulously rich or (far more likely!) the Bank runs out. Selections will be based on 2 criteria: 1) The percentage of Premiership games any given team has scored first goal 2) The player who has scored the most first goals for that team will then be backed. I've made that sound more complicated than it really is, so taking Chelsea v Portsmouth as an example, Chelsea have scored first in 100% of their league games this season, Portsmouth 62.5%. Didier Drogba has scored the 1st goal 3 times, so the bet will be Drogba to score first. At this early stage of the season there are going to be fixtures where no clear goalscorer stands out statistically, so these will be No Bet. I'll update the stats after each set of games to keep the data current.
