Re: Grand Prix Snooker Thanks Kev A sombre week expected in Aberdeen with the recent shocking news regarding Hunter. The more established players will be more upset so i am expecting the odd upset. However the new format will work in some players advantage and it will be interesting to see. Ante post After studying the groups Ronnie has got a plum draw. I see no threat to him winning his gropu apart from himself. The 5 frame format should suit Ronnie as he is the kind of player who usually starts well as other players do take time to settle against him IMO. In addition his group will face in the last 16 the easiest group so there should be no problems in him getting to the last 8 and he won't be 4-1 then with the view of laying him off. 10 points Ronnie outright @ 4-1 with Stan James 10 points Ronnie to win his group at 10/11 with Premier Bet Williams has been in renewed form since winning the China. Again i feel if he has his head screwed on and doesn't let the mournful atmosphere get to him 15/8 to win his group is on the large side. 5 points Williams to top group at 15/8 Premier Ber Now for some patented Mullet accumulators. 4 point treble - Ebdon, Ronnie and Williams all to win their group with Premier bet 2 point acc - Ebdon, Ronnie, Williams and Stevens all to win their group(9/4, 10/11 and 15/8, 11/4 respectively) Stevens is the only one i see as risky but at 11/4 with Hendry the only real threat i think there s some value. If he beats Hendry, he wins the group and 11/4 is worth shoving in there for 2 points. Ebdon will love this event and is actually my 2nd shout after O'Sullivan. Matches 5 points Williams at 4/6 with Bet365 5 point Hendry/Ebdon double (both 4/6) with Betfred Not going to say much about these, we all know the players and they are all better then their opponents. Selby is a worry but Williams 3-2 would be my shout. If anyone knows which companies are doing correct score betting i'd appreciate it. Good luck - just waiting for Zulu and Kev now
