Betting large on heavily stacked in-running events

Would anybody suggest that betting a fair percentage of your bank on something where the event is pretty much won to a certain for extremely low odds would be a good way to go?? I'm really torn, in my strategy, between picking carefully selected bets at average odds or picking heavily backed (mainly in-running) events where the chance of losing is next to nothing but winning percentage is also next to nothing? I've been advised this is a good idea but there is a mental block to putting such a large percentage of my bank on the line. For example 50% of pot on Valencia being 2-0 up last night against Shakhtar. Who else either has or would look to do something like this? What were the gains/overal results like?

Re: Betting large on heavily stacked in-running events No way, no chance. It's absolute madness. Never risk more than 5% of your bank or a bad run/fluke can wipe you out. Slow gains are the best way.
