Here’s my take starting from today’s fixture. I’ll be concentrating on AsianHandicap as this system only consists of 2 selections, lower overround thus generally easier to pick winners. The general idea of backing a team here is pin-pointing the trend. Many would says follow the trend, eg. when a team keep losing, go against them and when a team keep backing them. This method is often use in the casino baccarat table. But here I am using a different method, I identify the ‘turning point’ of a trend instead. For example, not many predicted Portsmouth has such a good start in the season. They kept winning money for punters since the beginning till the fifth games. You may busy punting on other teams and felt how nice you was on with them during their winning streak. But now after noticing their 4th win on AsianHandicap in a row, finally they down 0-1 at home to Bolton with a 0, -0.5 disadvantage at start. Another good example was Arsenal bad run. 2 draws and a lost in first 3 games, who’d expect them to win over Man Utd at Old Trafford? Not many but fact was they did with a +0.5 handicap. Fact is here, under Asian Handicap style, not even Chelsea could manage too many good form to overcome the handicap nor Sunderland last season to lost too much money for punters. However there are exceptional. Man City lost 9/10 games before the 2005/2006 season ended, losing 5 handicaps and win 1 before ending it with another 4. Liverpool had 10 wins over handicap with their superb defense last season. But archiving such milestone is rare, thus this strategy needed to put to test. Picking winners or picking value? As a team is on-form, it’s value seems to be overrated especially value is found in the handicap instead of odds. EG, eg again. If Arsenal were more on form earlier, playing at Old Trafford might only meant a 0, +0.5 advantage for them instead of +0.5! So when a team is on losing streak, their handicap will under-rated while winning streak might cause their handicap to be overated. So this is no consistent profit here, just a refined strategy to pick teams over the weekend. I just hope I can find as much winners as I can throughout the season. And here’s the staking plan. With a 100pts capital and 10pts on every game. :drums
