Rory
:ok Quite late to post guys, didnt see a mlb thread for a while so here goes. New York Yankees -1.5 @ 5/6 Lads Into the second game at Yankee Stadium tonight after the New Yorkers posted a comfortable 8 - 4 victory yesterday evening. Interesting pitcher match up between experience (Mussina NY) and youth (Verlander Det). Though overall this Yankees team carries somewhat of a dream team tag and cannot see a shock this evening. Home advantage, Mussina's experience against a pitcher who, although highly regarded, is a rookie and from what I can tell has never played at Yankees Stadium, so could well be overawed in what will be his first postseason game. The Yankees ended regular season 5 wins - 5 losses losing last two though those games not being of any importance in their already won division and by losing helped eliminate rivals Boston Red Sox. Conspiracy anyone?;) The Tigers however imploded 4 - 6 losing there last five (now 6) and with it the seemingly won central division. Still a much improved Tigers from last year, but are now out of their depth. Confidence is a pre-requisite against the Yankees and surely there cannot be a sniff of it in the Detroit camp right now. Add the depth in ranks of the Yankees and another comfortable win is forecast. :hope
