APAT's Des Duffy - A word of thanks...

I could have placed this in the APAT Birmingham tourney thread, but thought it deserved its own thread... I checked my "Not In White List" Folder in my email account tonight, and found an email from Des offering me a place in the APAT Birmingham Tourney... Now, I would love to play in the tourney, of course I would, but the invite caused me a dilemma... As some of you know, I have been unemployed since being made redundant in March of this year... I am currently awaiting news of a potential job offer, which, if I was successful, would mean starting this month, with a three week residential course in Reading, which would rule me out of the tournament... So, I emailed Des, asking if I signed up for the tourney, could I obtain a refund if I entered the tourney, but couldnt take up my seat, due to being offered the new job... Des' response was "Yes, we will give you a refund" I know APAT came in for a bit of flack recently, from PLers including myself, over the "Pro Players, will they / wont they let em join APAT" saga, so I think its only fair that I place on public record my thanks to Des for his help in this matter...Thanks very much, Des :ok So, Ladies & Gents....The APAT English Poker Open...I am IN, I have just paid my £75 entry fee, So see you there, job offer permitting of course ! Fcuk me, ME playing in a national title event ! Er, anyone seen my Harrington Books ??? :loon:loon:loon EDIT - I have just booked a room at the City Inn for the Saturday Night 2nd EDIT - Still dont know if I have the job, but I do know that the course will be in Birmingham, a stone's throw from some casino called the Broadway :unsure
