I've been playing a bit on low-limit Party Poker NL STTs lately, because of their Monster Freeroll thing. I've noticed that there are a lot of players there who will make tiny bets compared to the pot size (often less than 10% of the pot). Maybe this is just because they're American players who mostly play limit poker, but I haven't figured out any pattern in what kind of hand they have for this: sometimes they have monsters, and sometimes they have good but not outstanding hands (top pair, average kicker, etc.). Maybe there is no pattern and I have to figure this out on a case by case basis, but has anybody else worked out what's going on?

Re: What does a minimum bet mean? perhaps they are like me and do not look at the pot size when deciding minimum bet amount - its likely to mean they aint very good players!
