Re: Mansion $3000 Freeroll + Blackjack discussion I played the Blackjack using the "basic blackjack Strategy" I see a few people in here that said they lost about 4-5(fancy looking L) which i think might be the same as $9 USD. I think there's a big difference in offering a FREEROLL to players that played a certain number of raked hand or this Blackjack. Im a poker player your a poker player so why are they tring to pursuade us into playing BLACKJACK? Obviously they make a ton of money from people playing at their online casino.

Yes, of course that's why they're doing it. Some freerolls are designed to attract players to the site's poker tables; this one was obviously mostly designed to attract players to the casino tables. And why shouldn't they do that? It's not as though they're disguising the fact. No poker site has freerolls of any kind just so they can give money to us. They wouldn't have them unless they thought they would get them extra business. But we're free to decide to play in them or not, depending on whether we like the conditions or not. And we can take advantage of them if we want: I'm sure many of us here will just play the blackjack tables so we can play in these freerolls, fully aware that we're playing a game with a slightly negative expectation, but will never go back to their casino tables. It would be interesting to know how much PLers as a whole lose (or win) at the blackjack tables, compared to how much they win in the freerolls.

Re: Mansion $3000 Freeroll + Blackjack discussion

just played 33 hands using my staking system for a 36 euro profit
Nice one mate - albeit a bit lucky!!! :loon :loon You were down after 28 hands and then had 3 consecutive wins to put you up - had those 3 wins been 3 losses (just as likely), you'd have all but wiped your bank out!!! Not trying in anyway to "put down" your win, but think it's important to be clear to people - your staking system doesn't remove the house edge - it increases the chances of winning in any particular session (i.e. the short run), but if you play enough to get out of the short run (i.e. for the "true" odds to show), then you will lose. With the staking system, you will win more often, but when you lose, you will lose big (what you have won and more)......

Re: Mansion $3000 Freeroll + Blackjack discussion Nice writeups Gaf . Which is why i switched to poker :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol At least , you're in control when you're playing poker not in blackjack where you depend on the dealer to give you the fantastic cards which is needed for a win . :clap:clap:clap

Re: Mansion $3000 Freeroll + Blackjack discussion

At least ' date=' you're in control when you're playing poker not in blackjack where you depend on the dealer to give you the fantastic cards which is needed for a win . :clap:clap:clap[/quote'] I don't think it's so much a question of "control" - the random part of Poker is there as much as Blackjack..... The difference between the 2 is who your opponent is.... In Blackjack you are playing against the casino. There are a limited number of possibilities and the casino know EXACTLY what the probability of every occurence is. They ensure that you can not place a bet where the possibility of that bet coming in is less than the odds they are offering you. In contrast, Poker has far more possible permutations, and you are not playing against the casino - you play again "Joe Public" (with the casino taking a cut of the pot, thus again guaranteeing they cannot lose). Because your opponent (and you) cannot play a perfect game, then you play and those that make fewer mistakes will end up winners - those who make more mistakes will end up losers. So you can use your skill at the game to make a profit, where this is not possible in "fixed odds" casino games........

I know this system is not fantastic I thought it was good for those wanting to play in the freeroll cheaply and if people use stake 1 1 1 1 they should acheive this most times at a small profit and occasionally a small loss.when the internet casinos started a few years ago they were all trying to get your trade and alot doubled your deposit with no wagering requirements you could even cash your own deposit back once you lost their money, using the staking system with little or no risk i managed to bank over $14000 in a little over 3 months and had a further $7000 not paid out by a couple of sites(no longer trading) who said they had evaluated my play and wouldnt pay me out but would refund my deposit.a couple of times on a couple of sites i was several hundred up and playing 5 10 15 20 and lost the lot after loosing streaks but on the whole the system worked very well for me and i only stopped once the wagering requirement rose to at least 10x your own money as well as the matched bonus

Sorry mate - disagree totally with this. Progressive staking will most times show a small profit, but occasionally a LARGE loss (your entire bank!!). Anyone wanting to play in the freeroll for minimum risk and minimum loss should stick to flat rate stakes for the minimum bet IMO. Both systems have an expected loss and will over a long enough period of play show a loss

Completely different kettle of fish if they are doubling your deposit - nice one :ok

Re: Mansion $3000 Freeroll + Blackjack discussion i agree with you gaf in the long run there is only 1 winner and as mentioned I myself had large bankrolls wiped out (accumulated winnings)Ithink once had a loosing run of about 8 or 9 in a row which will wipe out most progressive systems hence why I quit once the money wasnt free any more just thought Id mention itfor those who were playing the 25 hands to gain entry to the freeroll
