THE % MAN
The idea behind this is a book I bought to do with racing before the computer became the norm for doing calculations. This is only to be used when soft or heavy going is involved but mainly the later and is based on Ren'e Thoms Catastrophe Theory first formulated in 1965 by this distinguished mathematicin and the author of this book as used is own formula to try a find an outsider in HEAVY GOING CONDITIONS [OR SOFT]As he considers anything can happen in these races and by using this formula you may pick some good outsiders or horses who should have a sound chance on the going. THIS IS THE FORMULA 1PT FOR WERE IN THE BETTING 1PT Fav 10pts for 10th or greater 1pt for Top Weight, 10pts for 10th or LOWER 2pts 1 win at distance, 6pts for 2 and 10pts for 3wins at the dist 2pts 1 course win, 6pts 2course wins and 10pts for 3course wins 1 past win on going 2pts, 2 wins 6pt and 3 past wins 10pts 2pts 10-19 runners, 4pts 20-29, 6pts 30-39, 8pts 40-49 runners Please note in the SPs and Weights depending were they are determines the actual PTS, so if one was 3rd in the betting and 3rd in the weights that horse would be allocated 3pts for SP and 3pts for weight. This should be only used when their is a sudden change in going like good going, to soft or heavy overnight. This is to try and find a horse that will cause a form upset or a Catastrophe. When this happens I will try my best to come up with what the formula picks, but it his thier for all to see and if you wish to use it do so. The horse that as the highest number of points after running it through the system that is the selection. Hope this may be of interest to some of you. % MAN :ok
