rippyuk
My best mate & I are going down to the Rendezvous Casino (http://www.rendezvouscasino.com/southend/index.html) in Southend-On-Sea tonight for their weekly £10 + £1 rebuy tournament. Dress code is smart casual, jeans & trainers ok - tables are self dealt until the final table. Anyone up for it?

rippyuk
Re: Anyone fancy £10 + £1 live MTT in Southend-On-Sea tonight? (Tue) Just got back in. The £10 rebuy was full when we arrived, so we moved along to Spielers Casino's "River Card Room" for their £50 + £5 single chance rebuy/top up tournament. http://www.spielers.co.uk/ Was a really nice structure with a very good standard of play - first deal was at 8.30pm & they were still playing when I left at 2.15am. Starting chips were 3,000 with the top up available any time in the first 90 mins - if you blew out you could rebuy once, and if you didn't use your rebuy you could top up with 3,000 more chips - this caused it to play out more like a freezeout than a manic rebuy. Finished 8th (out of 66) for £240 so I'm pretty chuffed - some serious players there (when the tournament director knows many of them by name you feel a bit like a fish out of water!). Cost me £105 so profit of £135, and a quality night had too. :clap
Dave Mardell
Re: Anyone fancy £10 + £1 live MTT in Southend-On-Sea tonight? (Tue) tables are self dealt until the final table. For me this is totally unacceptable. Its bad enough that we have to dodge collusion (which is even harder to detect live than online - by the managment at least), without having to contend with deck mechanics too... If the house cant provide a dealer, it shouldnt be charing a registration fee (the +1 bit)

Who knows though..
