1st bet of the week for me: 10pts Glamorgan to beat Somerset 5/6 Ladbrokes Bottom placed Somerset entertain 6th placed Glamorgan in this Championship clash. Somerset come into the match off the back of losses to Derbyshire in their last 4 day match and to Yorkshire in the Pro40 on Sunday. Glamorgan's last match was the farcical tie with Durham in Pro40. Somerset have a new captain for this match. Andrew Caddick will lead the side now that Cameron White has gone back to Australia. With White going home it exposes a batting lineup that apart from him have not fired all season. This is Caddick's 1st match in charge of a side and I'm doubtful whether he'll be up to the task. Glamorgan have been scoring quite a few runs recently which is perfect coming into a match at Taunton. Their bowlers are used to bowling on small grounds so won't be as disconcerted by the small Taunton ground as some sides are. Glamorgan have got Mark Cosgrove back in their batting lineup and he's been a run machine for them this season and with batsmen like Powell and Hemp alongside him Glamorgan should carry on scoring good runs. Somerset have been all over the shop all season long really, Glamorgan are starting to get their acts together after a dodgy start to the season and with a better batting lineup which is what you need at Taunton I'm going to take the Dragons to prevail here.

1 more bet for Wednesday's matches. 10pts Kent to beat Yorkshire 5/6 Ladbrokes Both sides come into this match having drawn their last game. Yorkshire lie 7th in the table, looking over their shoulder at the drop zone and Kent are 5th with an outside chance of a title charge. In order for that to materialise they must win here though. Yorkshire aren't having the best of seasons. Having failed to qualify in the C&G and Twenty20 they are 3rd bottom in the Championship and have been dished out 2 drubbings in Pro40. The main reason for this is a dodgy batting lineup. They've started scoring runs recently but that's mainly been away from home, they are yet to convince they can score runs at Headingley. The bowling attack they are going into this match with is young and inexperienced so they will need to score runs to counteract that. Kent in contrast are having a much better all round season than recently. Their 1 day form has been ok this season and they always shine in the 4 day arena. They have a solid batting line up who have also been scoring runs recently and a good, solid bowling attack which has lots of variety. Given they are having a better season and their batting lineup is more secure I'm going to go for the Spitfires to come away from Headingley with a win.
