Urgent help

Recommended Posts

Could anybody tell me which course in England is similar to THE CURRAGH The reason I ask is the meeting their tomorrow looks very good and was going to run the card through some software but it only covers English courses and if you could think of one that would fit the bill I could use that as a starting point

Re: Urgent help Curragh- Home of the classics, Ireland’s flat headquarters is a big, galloping two-mile course with a run-in of three furlongs and an uphill finish. There is a also a six-furlong sprint track, where low numbers are often favoured in small fields ; the effect of the draw can be difficult to predict when there are a lot of runners, in which case there will often be a split, and it usually just comes down to where the ground is best. Unsurprisingly the big stables tend to dominate, particularly on the big days. Keep a close eye on any raiders from the Roger Charlton stable — he is 4 from 6 here in the last five years. Sandown- Situated just half an hour from the centre of London, Sandown Park is one of Europe’s premier tracks. The standard of racing is always high, the facilities are excellent, and the viewing generally good being a natural amphitheatre — apart from the sprint course which bisects the main track and is some distance form the stands. The mile and a quarter Eclipse Stakes in July is Sandown’s only Group One race — it is the first chance for the season’s best three-year-olds to take on the older generation at the highest level. One of Sandown’s best fixtures takes place in the spring, a mixed card featuring the Betfred Gold Cup but also some informative classic trials. The stiff uphill finish has provided some electrifying finishes, both on the flat and over jumps Leicester- Right-handed with tight turns at either end, Leicester can provide a surprising test of stamina as runners climb gradually throughout the last three furlongs. Leicester is rare amongst National Hunt courses in having more hurdles in the home straight than steeplechase fences. The ground on the hurdles course (which is on the Flat track) is often very testing in the winter whilst that on the chase course can often be much less so Hope this helps.
