slick mick
Re: Poker 4 Charity Newcastle Poker Cup and Shield My last hand probably sums up the standard of play. I'm on the button with 3500 chips and blinds are 500/1000. It's folded round to me so I push all my chips in, small blind folds, big blind dwells for a few minutes then says 'I have to call' and turns over 67o. Can anybody explain this to me? Now I'm on a steal with J7o but I've got him dominated but of course he makes a straight on the river. I can honestly say that I didn't see a well played hand all night, people just could not lay a hand down if they'd put money in the pot. runadrum
Re: Poker 4 Charity Newcastle Poker Cup and Shield Bad luck both. It does sound as if it was all about having deep pockets - it's ok to stay in a hand you have contributed to if you know you're just gonna dip back into your wad if the cards don't go your way. Of course it does build a huge profit for the winner if they can survive without rebuying at all ! :ok
