Re: mansion $500 added 3am cancelled The $50 added was cancelled yesterday when there was only 14 or so remaining. I was going well in chips so I emailed support (who got back pretty quickly). Not sure if this applies to a cancelled game that hasn't started but here's the reply: Thank you for your email regarding Poker Tournaments. We can confirm that due to technical issues beyond our control some of the poker tournaments crashed. During this time no user was able to continue with the affected tournaments and were not able to log back into the tournaments. Please accept our apologies for this technical issue, in regards to the tournament you will be refunded in line with our refund policy: "In the event of a server crash all current hands being played are cancelled and players at the tables will have their chips returned to the balance at the start of the hand. The tournament will restart when the server is back up. If the tournament is not restarted and is subsequently cancelled, then the unclaimed portion of the prize pool from players that have been eliminated from the tournament prior to the server crash will be distributed between the remaining players." When a tournament fails to complete, we use a set formula to determine how much each of the active players receives. This formula is tried and tested and is the fairest method of paying out incomplete tournaments for all players.

Firstly, we split the remaining prize pool in half. This prize pool is made up of all the buy ins, any re buys and add-ons which have been made, and any added value which we ourselves add to the tournament. We then subtract any winnings which have already been paid to players who have gone out.

The first half is split equally amongst all of the players who were still in the tournament when it crashed.

The second half is paid out to all remaining players dependant upon the percentage of chips that each player had when the tournament stopped running.

Please see the example below for further details.

100 players enter a tournament where the buy in is $10+$1. Each player has 1,500 starting chips. There are no added value or re buys in this tournament.

Total prize pool = $1,000 (100 players X $10 buy in).

Total chips in play = 150,000 (100 players X 1,500 chips).

When the tournament went down, there were 9 players remaining. No players had been paid at this point.

Half of the prize pool ($500) is split equally amongst all 9 remaining players. Therefore, all remaining players receive $55.56. ($500/9).

The other half is split amongst the players according to the percentage of chips each player had when the tournament went down.

The chip stacks in this example were:

Player A

30,000

Player B

27,000

Player C

22,500

Player D

18,000

Player E

15,000

Player F

13,500

Player G

12,000

Player H

7,500

Player I

4,500

Therefore, each player will receive the amount in the end column in the table below.

We do make a couple of checks after following the above formula, the main one being that no player can receive more funds than the scheduled payout for first prize. All refunds will be processed within the next 24 hours.

We hope that this has clearly explained how we divide the winnings in when tournaments fail to complete.

If you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us again.

Kindest regards,

So basically half is split equally and half is proportionate to your chipstack.
