I can tell you that I ran a simulation laying at 11/8 or below, and just checked how Martingale would work. Series of 6 winners happen twice every month, series of 9/10 at least once per year. I used a 6 stage Martingale, stopping at the 6 stage and assuming a loss. It would have returned a small profit every day since 1 January up to August. Then in 3 different days during August you would lose all your profit. Martingales don't work, period. But if you're having fun, and you think you can prove everyone wrong, I wish you luck with this. Pinhofap you may have a point there but my lays are based on form figs not the odds range of a horse,all the horses ive put up will range from odds on to 8/1,so form of the horse tells me it wont win but thats only my view and it might go tits up. My main betting is based on level stakes this thread is a work in progress to see if martingale can work based on some of my selections,thanks for your input and good luck with your betting. I prefer adjusted system when I write on paper desired profit, for example 10 times per 100 units. On each game desired profit must be sum of first and last number. If I win i erase first and last number and if I lose I add that loss at end of array.
