On Val's suggestion, will post up to the next 'highlight' each time, rather than a set number of hands - so that we have an interesting one for discussion but you get the full picture for all players. Easy fold for me, but I'm very critical of Echo's play here pre-flop and on the turn. (Criticism coming in 10 mins or so but I'm worried it might crash as I type it up, so saving!)

Re: Poker Night Live Hand Analysis - Hands 4 - 8 you are - okay he made a min raise stealwith AQ, got caught and called the re-raise Can't really fault him on the flop, he has top 2 pr - what do you expect him to do - shove? - he is only losing to trips at the mo, so the call is fine IMO and why check raise? let the other guy hang himself, he needs to hit to beat him turn - Interesting card - what might the other guy reriase us with? AA KK QQ JJ (maybe 10 10) and AK AQ (maybe AJ) so the King fills another 2 hands that beats him (with AA and QQ) - so 4 out of 6 possible hands are now beating him (8 dependant on how loose u think he is). He is now getting just over 2-1 to call the bet - and its one I would prolly make as well (in fact I would SHOVE at this point and hope villian has KQ:hope ) River - well there is so much in the pot now I can't see how he could let this go - its too early yet to have a read on players I don't think he played this too poorly Damo

Re: Poker Night Live Hand Analysis - Hands 4 - 8 Yeah its hard to be too critical of either player (imo) in this situation, its just one of those occassions where two monsters collide, and there can only be one winner.

Mr_Echo checked delee_sere bet - $660.00 Mr_Echo went all-in - $910.00 delee_sere called - $910.00
I wouldn't be the only one on here to have done this kind of thing before...

Re: Poker Night Live Hand Analysis - Hands 4 - 8 Starting to agree with you Damo! Just typing this up and trying to work out if I've worked it out correctly... if you see what I mean! UTG, a 2 x BB raise with AKo is poor as far as I'm concerned - the same raise with AQo is dreadful. You want to knock people out straight away with a raise of 3 or 4 times the BB, but I think I'd go for calling and hoping someone behind you raised, or you got to see whether there was an A or Q on the flop for just 1 bet, rather than making the minimum raise. Sere's raise on the button initially seems a little bi - leaves Echo needing to put in 120 chips when there's 230 in the pot so far. Does Echo have the odds he needs? IMO, definitely not... what exactly does he expect Sere to have?! I'd say the big raise indicates a premium hand. AA, then obviously Echo is screwed, with a 7% chance of winning. Against KK or QQ his odds are better than I thought, about 28%. Against AK, he's dominated, and it's about 24%. TT or JJ are the others I'd consider, and in this case, things don't look so bad for Echo, with him having a 43%ish chance of winning either. Then, of course, there's the possibility it's a bluff, but it seems a bizarre bluff to throw in this early on (pot calling kettle black here!!) Even a bluff with 74o only gives Echo a 64% chance or so of winning, though. Looking at the probabilities of Sere being dealt each hand, if we assume he'd make this play with any of them (this may be the only time you are EVER able to work out that I've been reading HOH recently!!), I came up with this. 3 ways he can get AA, 6 for KK, 3 for QQ (since Echo holds AQ.) 12 ways for AK, 6 for TT, 6 for JJ. Say 20% chance it's a bluff. 36 possible non-bluffing combinations, saying 19% chance it's a bluff to make maths easier. If it's NOT a bluff: 1/12 chance it's AA, giving Echo 81/12 * 7% = 5% chance of winning. 1/4 chance it's KK or QQ, giving Echo 81/4 * 28% = 5.6% chance of winning. 1/3 chance it's TT or JJ, giving Echo 81/3 * 43% = 12% chance of winning. 1/3 chance it's AK, giving Echo 81/3 * 24% = 6.25 % chance of winning. (All approx) If it IS a bluff, 19 x 64% = 12% chance of winning. So total chance of winning = 5 + 5.6 + 12 + 6.25 + 12 = 40.85% chance of winning... okaaaaaaaaaaay... EASILY has pot odds if I haven't screwed up the calculations!! That CAN'T be right, can it?! As you said, play on the flop is fine, with top 2 pair he has to figure himself in with a great chance of being ahead and ready to rake it some money - but the K on the turn would scream caution to me. He's now behind AA, KK, QQ, AK, and TT and JJ have got 6 outs to make trips or a straight. Okay, looking at likelihood of various hands, starting to agree with you that he's not played it too badly - but I REALLY dislike the raise on the river, there's no way he's chasing him off - I'd call and risk having to play hard to recover rather than go out like that.
