DeepBlueDevilFish
Not a very regular poker player myself but I thought I'd share this E-mail with you as some of the players on here may be interested in this :- http://cl.exct.net/open.aspx?ffcb10-fe9a10757761067c77-fdf716797467017477127177-fefb1576756d00 Dear World Sports Exchange Client: World Poker Exchange is about to turn the online poker industry on its head. Starting today, we'll be completely eliminating the rake from the real-money games in our poker room, regardless of table limit or game type. This makes World Poker Exchange the world's only venue where it's completely free to play poker-and yes, that includes tournament play as well. The house rake is poker's silent killer, and depending on how much you play you could be losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month. Use our handy rake calculator to see how much money you've been leaving on the table. To start receiving the benefits of No Rake Poker, just sit down and start playing. If you have a World Sports Exchange account, you already have a poker account as well. Each week, we will simply tabulate the total amount of rake that you contributed (including tournament fees), and return 100% of that amount to your account. You can transfer funds seamlessly between your sportsbook and poker accounts at any time. We believe poker should be a fun, free service available to all our customers, rather than a means to "rake" them over the coals. With the advent of No Rake Poker, World Poker Exchange is now the only place where it truly pays to play. Some of you may not have heard of WSEX but I've used them for a couple of years for mainly US sports betting and they're a very solid outfit. I've never had any problems with them. They're "A" rated at the Sportsbookreview site so this "No Rake" offer is a serious one imo.
slick mick
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. :unsure I'm puzzled. Why have rake on a no rake site? Perhaps they are making interest off it and giving it back eventually.:\

GaF
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. Sounds a bit dodgy to me - too good to be true :unsure
Tax_Monkey
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. Reading the info on the link DBD posted it comes across like they're hoping to make money by stealing clients from sites like Betfair etc.

guesswest
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. Very interesting - Mick's suggestion that it goes into an interest bearing holding account may well be accurate......if they are successful, and I think they will be if they're not charging rake! - that could well be quite profitable for them, so seems believable to me..... DeepBlueDevilFish
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. Sounds a bit dodgy to me - too good to be true :unsure Well it could be GaF and I suppose I would think the same as well especially if I'd received the E-mail from some 2-bit outfit I'd never heard of. But from my experiences on the Sports Betting side of things WSEX aren't that and I've never had any problems with them so imo a regular poker player on here might want to give their new "no-rake" idea a try. robilaruk
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. well their customer support is ACE received this response just over an hour after I sent it it bodes well for the rest of the site Damo **************************************************** Dear Liz, You can deposit using a debit card to deposit funds as long as it's associated with Visa and MasterCard however if you request a withdrawal it will not be sent back to your credit card since we do not offer this method to withdraw funds. In regards to your question about if we charge a fee for depositing the answer is no. In reference to your question about conversion of the currency once you make a deposit, using your card the currency automatically comes in US dollars. About the current exchange rate we do not have any control over that it all depends on the company that's doing the conversion and in your case it depends on your bank. In regards to your question about opening a sports account first, no you do not need to open a sportsbook account first, you can open a poker account directly and you should be able to access the sportbook with your poker account details. We do have a function on the World Sports Exchange website which logs your deposits and withdrawals go to www.wsex.com log into your sports account and you should see a feature that says reports. Lastly we do have a feature in the World Poker Exchange software available in the cashier which shows you the amount of rake you have economized since a particular date, the date the money is going to be transferred to your account and your total economized rake. About the tournament fees yes it is going to be returned for both multi and single table tournaments. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact our support team assistance. spreaditabout
Re: A "No Rake" site that may interest the Poker Players on here. Can vouch for this, DONT PAY RAKE, the way forward----yes they depend on holding the CASH for the month on deposit at your expense, but that should not worry you. Give it 6 months and watch the market follow suit. gl.:)
Masterplan
World Poker Exchange & Rake world px is offering permenant 100% weekly rakeback. not sure if this has been posted before but i cant find it Play at the World Poker Exchange tables will be just as it has always been. The only change is that the full amount you contribute to the 'rake' will be returned to your account each week. During your playing sessions at WPX, the rake will continue to be taken from each pot in accordance with our established Rake Structure. In our game client cashier, however, you will find a section specifying the following information: 1) The total amount of the rake return you have earned since the introduction of our No-Rake Poker 2) The amount of the rake return you have earned for the current week, which will be credited to your account on the date specified We believe poker should be a fun, free service available to all our customers, rather than a means to “rake†them over the coals. With the advent of No-Rake Poker, World Poker Exchange is now the only place where it truly pays to play. It seems too good to be true—how can we offer no-rake poker? Why aren’t other sites doing it? What’s the catch? The answers are actually quite simple. Most online poker sites have a single revenue stream: collecting upwards of 5% out of every winning pot. In today’s growth-driven industry, it’s simply impossible for them to reduce, let alone eliminate, their single source of income. World Poker Exchange, however, has many sources of revenue, including World Sports Exchange, one of the most successful sportsbooks on the Internet. We’re confident that no-rake poker will deliver major new traffic to our other businesses, including sports wagering, in-running betting, horse racing and casino wagering. Now, with 100% of the rake being rebated to your account every week, you’ll only have to worry about outfoxing the other players at your table, rather than having to beat the house as well. This will give all our players a much greater opportunity to achieve a net profit at the tables and will allow them to save hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars a month. We can’t think of any better way to mark World Sports Exchange’s tenth year in business.
