i'm trying to convince a pal to stop playing martingale, he just started and won the first bet with boavista last night ... tell me how can i convince him, besides telling him that bankrupcy will come sooner than he can imagine :sad

For him to do the martingale properly, the odds needed will have to 2.0 or above and a losing run with such odds is going to occur at some point. Do you know how many bets he can make before going broke? Martingale is bad.:spank

Re: martingale problem with a friend make a spreadsheet in excel using the random number generator to show how at some point he would go bankrupt. the only way he wont is by having value picks, in which case he has no need for martingale. :wall
