Win: 1:30 | Sthl | Piccolo Prince (1.00 pts stkd) 2:00 | Sthl | Airbound (1.00 pts stkd) 2:20 | Folk | Opera Mundi (1.00 pts stkd) 2:30 | Sthl | Mission Affirmed (1.00 pts stkd) 2:50 | Folk | Reveillez (1.00 pts stkd) - Piccolo Prince . Trainer have had some nice runners this year – it’s only a very little amount of runners. – so Piccolo may just had a lot of the training time. Piccolo have a much lower weight to carry here compare to its last run and it’s the same Jock from that race. Airbound Looked very good from its only two runs. Johnston had a nice winners with Magic Moth on Monday. All of the few runners J ran have done well with 2 runs out of six coming from Airbound. Not too mayn challengers here for Air. Kintbury Cross have the most experience by does not look like it has the potential of Air. KC’s trainer have not had many races but it still not something to jump for. Just looks like it time for Airbounds first win by just looking at the finishes of the others and going for it here. Opera Mundi A great start to a promising career with a 2nd place finish on a Class 2 race earlier this year. Was only a length behind 1st and a good 5 ahead of 3rd. The rider was Christian Williams there and it’s McCoy today. I’m going with this one after a good effort from the last run. Some to challenge is Major Miller who is from a stable that’s in great form. Palm Island is another who’s finished great in its only two starts plus it’s trainer have had some winners and plenty that placed this year. Opera has the good outing in its last run, a trainer in good form and McCoy. It looks like this might be close to the finish between Opera and Major but I really believe Oprea has more in here. It’s going to take a fall for it to lose and any blunder will not stop it from winning. Mission Affirmed Mission Affirmed have been running in a Class above today’s and it’s the only one who can claim that from their recent races. Resplendent Prince ran a Class 5 in January and a couple in December but it’s latest run war poor have been running in Claimers and Sellers. Mission have ran two Handicap three consecutive Class 5 Handicap and most of the field have been in less competitive races. Those races just might have toughen it up for today and I’m going to believe that. Also having the best jockey (by wins) of the course is a lot of points for me. Reveillez Odds on favorite. Some of the “dangers” are It’s Walalce Jnr, Pedros Brief and Pardishar. All had decent finishes but in lesser style (less competition on the field) Reveillez ran two this year and both were finiseshes of 2nd with one at Exeter (Class A) and at Leicester (Class 3) – was both beaten by ones with far more experience – the ones behind Reveillez was behind by 28 and 13 lenghts..while R was a close 10 lenghts behind and only 0.50 behind in its last race. McCoy to have an early double but it looks to be tough for a treb.
