Latvia could have been beaten by the Czechs last night by more than four goals be it not for reportedly excellent Latvian goalkeeper. As the Slovak hockey school is similar to the Czech breed, I'm chewing over backing the Slovaks to beat a relatively mild handicap).;)

Re: 2006 IIHF World Junior Champs (U-20) Before tournament Latvia played a training game against Finland. Finland won only 3-1, but outshotted Latvia 41-9. In first two periods Latvia managed to get only 2 shots against finnish goalie. I quess that tells quite a lot about Latvia so I think Slovakia (handicap) might be worth of money here. :ok
