Re: Betfair PL Freeroll - Hand 5 Well, I might be looking stupid here, but I have to say I'd have played it... I'd be bearing in mind in heads-up, the average hand is Jack high, and you're effectively heads-up with the BB since everyone's folded apart from the SB sitting out. (although admittedly there's more chance of Lynn having decent cards since there's so many people who presumably had poor ones...) Anyway, this is possibly because I like A2-A5 too much for the straight potential, but I'd have raised to try and scare the BB off and if it hadn't worked, hoped to have hit a couple of cards to a straight or another A on the flop (and folded if I didn't, probably.) Having said that, following my advice may well be a quick way to bankrupt yourself!

Re: Betfair PL Freeroll - Hand 5 I'm with you Jaded, I'd have bet it - 80 or 100 - and would expect to pick up the blinds. Get a bit of table presence and it has to be raise or fold - no free flops.

I can see your perspective - but my strategy at this stage - I just don't want to get involved with hands like that, for 30 chips. I do tend to allow myself to get sucked in when I shouldn't, and so at this stage of a tourney would rather be patient and wait for those premium hands. You did also have positional advantage for future rounds. Out of interest, who would have played and who would have folded? (I would expect most to have played)

Re: Betfair PL Freeroll - Hand 5 I wouldn't have raised too much myself as the blinds were so small that they were not worth stealing. But a small raise with the intention of stealing on the flop should I get a call would have been how I would have played it.

Re: Betfair PL Freeroll - Hand 5 Generally i would have raised from this position and tried to take the blinds, but at that stage of the tournament with the blinds so small i can see why you folded it. Thinking about it though, i would probably have played it as mcgin just suggested.:ok
