To Show, or not to Show...

...that is my question. Whether it is nobler in the mind but bloody stupid at the tables? I'd like a few opinions. I think i have a bad habit of showing every time i win a hand - as i very rarely bluff (honest). But is that just helping other players to get a read on me and perhaps my betting patterns? If i took a huge wad from a player and he folded, i would still feel obliged to show, but is that the smart play or me just being a mug/muppet. All comments/ideas welcome. (I'd hate to think what GAF's software would say about me - mana mana do doo d do doo)

Re: To Show, or not to Show... George - every time you show, you are giving your opponents information - if you don't show, you are depriving your opponent of information. I think you probably know the answer!!! Being a tight player, it could be argued that if you bluff, it may be worth showing, to increase the chances of a call when you do have a hand. However, personally I prefer to (almost) never show. You also rightly mention software - I think you would be surprised how many people do use this (or maybe I'd be surprised how many don't!!!) - but everytime you show, you are giving data to the database that will be used against you - not a good thing (unless you are deliberately manipulating the data held!!!)
