NJ -8.5 (1.96) League: 10-16-1 (Av. loss 10.1) away 5+ dog, no rest off any ats win as an away dog in OT. [Mil] 2-11-1 (Av. loss 14.5) if total is 190+ 1-9-1 (Av. loss 15.7) if the opp is on at least 1 day rest (which NJ clearly are! :D ) Det -7.5 (1.93) League: 8-14-1 (Av. loss 9.7) away 5+ dog, no rest off an ats loss as home 5+ fav in OT. [Philli] 2-10 (Av. loss 13.2) if it was a 10+ ats loss. 1-10 (Av. loss 14.2) if total is 180+ Not 100% sure of the underlying reason, but it seems that an OT game that wasn't 'supposed' to be close, has an adverse effect on both teams the next day...esp. as big dogs. Does the team who got the win (Milwaukee in this case) get a bit happy with themselves and so not care too much tomorrow? Is [Philli] not as good as we (the books) might think? Either way, NJ are a team with high expectations for this year, so I'm sure they'll be keen to start the year off with a big win. Same with Detroit obviously....plus the last 3 meetings @ home, Det have beaten Philli by 21, 15 & 10 points.
