Only two weeks till the start of the 2023/24 NFL season and the excitement is rising.

I am already looking forward to watching the Red Zone every Sunday evening and hopefully returning a profit in 2023/24.

Looking at previous record books:

In 2022/23 Only 5 of the 8 League winners in 2021/22 and only 2 of the 6 wild card teams reached the play-offs.

In 2021/22 Only 4 of the 8 League winners in 2020/21 and only 2 of the 6 wild card teams reached the play-offs.

In 2020/22 Only 4 of the 8 League winners in 2019/20 and only 3 of the 4 wild card teams reached the play-offs.

If these stats are repeated then out of the 14 playoff teams last year only 7 will make the play-offs this season.

I think 6 teams that reached the play-offs last season will fail to reach the play-offs this year.

With Aaron Rodgers at the Jets, the AFC West should be more competitive. This could impact the Dolphins who may miss out.

The AFC North will be a battle royal and I could see the Bengals being ousted as league winners but qualifying as a wild card. Baltimore fail to make the play-offs.

The LA Chargers maybe usurped by the Bronco's this year.

In the NFC East I can not see the Giants making it this year with a much harder fixture list.

The Saints could triumph in the NFC South eliminating Tampa Bay.

The AFC South does not look strong, so I could see the Jags missing out.
