The IE Euro System

Recommended Posts

Readers of Inside Edge magazine may have seen their section on European football this month. For those how havnt heres a quick summary. Basically they looked at France, Spain, Germany and Italy. Using last seasons records and their expectations for this season, ranked the teams in three groups. Elite, top half and bottom half. Using past records they picked out sides that seem to have regular patterns against certain teams. ie. Team A always do well at home against non-elite sides. The teams that were picked out all the following: FRANCE Ajaccio Auxerre Lille Lyon Metz Nice Rennes Strasbourg GERMANY Arminia Bielefeld Borussia Monchengladbach Hamburg Kaiserlautern Mainz Werder Bremen Wolfsburg ITALY AC Milan Cagliari Messina Palermo Parma Sampdoria SPAIN Athletic Bilbao Atletico Madrid Deportivo La Coruna Espanyol Malaga Real Betis Valencia Villarreal What I am to do is follow their picks using the criteria defined and the team definitions theyve supplied. This system includes both backing and laying. I will use best odds available for backing and Betfair prices for laying. They suggest to use level stakes for both so bets will be to lose 5pts. So either a 5pt win (back) or to lose 5pts(laying). They suggest not laying higher than 7.0 to limit losses but this shouldnt matter using fixed stakes so Im ignoring this rule. I will start to put up this weeks selections over the next few days as soon as the majority of bookies have prices available.
