I live in West Yorkshire, so around the Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford areas if possible.

Markpl1
Re: Brick and mortar poker houses We have a few wannabe pros wear sunglasses at our gala but they normally get the mick taken out of them.
Norfolk Enchance
Re: Brick and mortar poker houses The Gala is one, not sure of any details though. Napoleans in Leeds have NL tournaments on thursday and saturday nights. I've not been yet but will be checking it out in a couple of weeks time. I think its a 9.30 start on a saturday with £10 buy-in and re-buys for the first hour I play in a couple of regular live home games but not played in a casino yet. Let us know how you get on at Gala
waketerrier
Re: Brick and mortar poker houses Wakefield born & bred Paul. I think i'll leave the shades at home then to avoid ridicule on my first visit. I was also wondering what the situation is regarding drinking and smoking at the tables? Finally, does everyone sit and play in silence or do you get a bit of banter amongst players?
Burt Saddo
Re: Brick and mortar poker houses Usually alcohol is not allowed at the gaming tables but with you not playing against the casino it may be different. Smoking is usually no problem.
