Staking/bank Advice Needed, Please

Recommended Posts

I'd be very grateful for opinions/facts to answer this question please. I'll try to make it as clear as I can ... I have a source of selections for horse-racing ("Source A") which has a 37% strike-rate at high enough odds to make it profitable in the long-term, with sensible money-management. I also now have available another source ("Source B") which has - to all intents and purposes - the same strike-rate (it's actually 38.x %) and - to all intents and purposes - the same average winning price (actually a fraction higher). I'm about to start backing these as well. People are telling me that I must use 2 separate banks with entirely separate staking, because if I combine selections from the two different sources, I am significantly increasing the probability of a bad losing run. I am having great difficulty accepting that this is true. Does anyone have a definitive answer to this? It seems to me that if I take two "packs" each of 1000 cards, each with 370 red cards (winners) and 630 black cards (losers), the "longest losing run" is no likely to be any higher if I shuffle the two "packs" of cards together than if I shuffle them separately and "play them" separately. What am I missing? Can anyone explain, please?

Re: Staking/bank Advice Needed, Please If, at some point in the future, both systems have losing runs at the same time, this will cause you some problems I imagine.
