Back to Lay

Not sure where to put this, ATR or here but as I like to follow slapdash I thought I would put it here to save me switching pages:)

Although I trade mainly nowadays, what got me into trading was the original "dobbing" bets of backing then laying in play for half the SP to either double your money or lose it. A more riskier scenario is to back SP then lay @20% of the SP for x4 profit. ie: [email protected] then [email protected] in play to win 4 points. I have been paper trading a system since 24th may which has produced 69.2 profit, full stats:

P+L    69.20
WON    54
LOST    136
R.O.I    136.42%
S/R    28.42%
S/R DAYS    55.74%

Any decent software linked to excel could be used (gruss, MF, Cymatic, Bet Angel) or just simply trade the ladders. I personally use gruss for this as I am used to their codes.

All selections below MUST BE 6.00 or greater, essentially because 1/5 of 6.00 for example is 1.20 so anything smaller is pointless.

So, to recap Back at SP at 6.00 or greater to lay in running at 20% of price eg: back [email protected]  lay [email protected] win$80 .

Todays bets (must be over 6.00sp for records sake):

14:35  Stratford  King Alfonso
16:35  Galway  Western Boy
16:35  Galway  Fergall
16:35  Galway  Swamp Fox
17:20  Goodwood Yorkshiredebut
17:20  Goodwood Fethiye Boy

Apologies for runners being in same race but it is extremely rare. Thanks.

PS: I'll add a simple calculator spreadsheet as soon as I figure out how to attach one..lol.

edit: I have uploaded a quick spreadsheet calculator. Just put your odds and stake in A2 and B2 and your required % in A5 and C2 and D2 should calculate price and stake required. You can change commission as required. Hope it helps :D . The other columns E2:L2 are just outcomes. There is a small macro to evaluate nearest betfair price.

WON    55
LOST    139
R.O.I    136.08%
S/R    28.35%
S/R DAYS    56.45%
