Another good day for Jason
The Memorial Tournament has attracted the top five players in the world rankings. It could be that the course provides a good test in preparation for the US Open or that the winner gets to shake hands with the tournament host by the 18th green who just happens to be Jack Nicklaus. The best three players in the world compete on the back of winning their last start but Jason Day has more in his favour than Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy.

The three amigos have found form at the start of a three month spell which takes in three majors and golf at the Olympic Games in Rio. Some players have decided not to travel and others have reservations about the Zika virus but all being well there won’t be too many absentees and winning the gold medal will rank alongside winning a major. McIlroy will be representing Ireland and doing his bit to promote the sport.
