(5hands earlier i lost with 3kings J kicker, to a guy with 3 kings and a 2. Who hit a full house, because i didnt raise) When i saw the pot its just good.. Thinking im having the best hand right now. But then petrovich go out and bet just over pot sized.. And quickly got called all in, by kotw8. I think maybe Ace pair or a flush draw. So deceide that he has to pay to get any further, and i go all in.. Knowing that only another spade, or a pair on board could kill me..... As you see turn killed me... This just seems to be my life.. Everytime i get a decent hand. I play it strong. But in some way. Turn and river always kill me.. Im seriusly thinking of quitting this.. Couse it has been like this for 2month now.. Am im playing piss poor bad?? :wall:wall:wall / cains

Re: Have i run out of luck??? Cains, I'm more of a tournament player and not really a cash game player, but IMO you played it right. When the money went in you were ahead holding the nuts. you knew there were drawing hands and you made it expensive for your opponent to draw. Unfortunately this time it paid off for him. I just put it in the Poker odds calculator and when you went all-in after the flop you had a 77.3% chance of winning. your opponents had a 13.8% and an 8.9% chance of winning So basically In this case you played it right.......... but were just desperately unlucky :( Everyone that has been playing poker for any length of time will go through a bad losing spell. I had a run of 3 weeks (playing every day) where i couldn't even manage to get a 3rd place in STT's after consistently making money for 2 months :( The one thing you must do is be honest with yourself and examine your play to see whether it is all bad luck or if some of it is bad play. If you are happy with how you played the hands then you just have to accept that it is possible to play hands well and continually lose with them. This will change eventually- as long as you keep playing well the results will turn around for you and you will start to make money again.................... Its just hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it seems like you are always having bad beats and getting cold decked.
