The Irish Poker Championsips is held in the Merrion every year and the World Championship of Poker was held there lasy July, with Ram Vaswami winning it. Decent place, tough to compare it to others as I've never been to others :) . There is a tournament every night with a bigish one on thursdays I think with cash games to follow, a round of Hold em and a round of Omaha. The cash games kickoff around 1200ish and you need 50 euro to sit. They have a betfair lounge on the bottom floor where there is about 20 PCs and you can play poker there either, this closes at 1200 but I heard something about this being closed, again don't know for sure as I haven't been there in a few months. Best of Luck and I hope you have the same luck I had when I was there last time. Was on the beer in Dublin and took a notion to head to the Merrion at about 230 straight from a club after I'd knocked back a few cold ones. Sat down with e150 and cashed out just over a monkey, :loon ! I'm tight as fcuk when I play drunk but everyone expects you to be bluffing so I got paid for for each of my three full houses :rollin .
