This looks a race between 2 trainers and one of those trainers has (2) runners both of which appear to be 1st & 2nd in the current market, I'm passing both of those runners over and siding with trainer Neil Mullholland's sole card runner.

He and jockey Liam Keniry side up for the opening race at Southwell so the journey after that for the LAST RACE at Wolverhampton stands out, even more so taking into account Mr Mullholland's 8yr old gelding has yet to score from 21 starts, HOWEVER he's not had a race in 130 days and if there was any time he could strike and be wound up like a coiled spring should be tonight, another small significant positive is Liam Keniry getting the leg up for the very first time, he's always been a strong jockey in my book and ALWAYS fly's under the radar. 

Owned and trained by Mr Mullholland it sure would be nice if the 8yr old could get his first win be that in a poor looking Class 6 - But in my world a win is a win.

A race of some unreliable but well handicapped sorts. General Tufto can never been ruled out around here but not been in much form recently on turf but would be no surprise to see him bounce back. 9lb below last winning mark.

Amenable is on a lengthy losing run back to January of this year when winning over 6f and 7f, very few tries at this trip so something to prove having been badly out of form this summer (slightly better effort last time out does give some hope).

Roger Thorpes only 2 wins have come come over this CD, and 7lb below last winning mark however has shown nothing like that sort of form since even over this CD.

Bellamoi is interesting making handicap debut for a yard who have a very good record around here. Ran a fair effort in a classified event at Kempton last time out, if building on that and with the application of cheekpieces could easily improve beyond most of these.
