Any strategy to predict odds fluctuations before the race?

Recommended Posts

I'm finding that if I place offers on the exchange the night before the next day's races, according to the best odds the bookies are offering at the time, sometimes I will get matched and the odds will have flown up the next day and I miss out on a lot of value. Like for instance yesterday night, I offered odds of 11 (decimal odds) to back a horse that was trading at odds of 7 at the time, and now it's leaped up to odds of 22. Other times I don't get matched and the odds have reduced, so I have to take worse odds before the race the next day. For example last night, I offered odds of 7 to back a horse that was trading at 5, and it's now gone down to below 4. Are there any strategies I can use to minimise the effect of these odds fluctuations and put them in my favour?
