I had the chance to visit Coolmore stud this morning. Usually not open to public, but the Curragh organized a trip for its members. A fantastic place - absolute top notch! They showed us a couple of stallions, including Australia, Camelot, Pour Moi, Excelebration and some others. Also got to meet So You Think, who looks still a bull. Canford Cliffs didn't care about us at all. Ruler Of The World in contrast is such an intelligent individual, very alert and happy. Australia looked a million dollars. Camelot looks like a real stallion now. He has done really well in his first season and his first offspring is reported to be absolutely smashing. The Coolmore guys were super euphoric about his future. We got the chance to see live how War Command covered a mare. He missed his early appointment today, so was mad horny for this session and it didn't last very long. Job done though, which is all that matters. Galileo is one of the coolest horses I've ever met. 17 years of age, but he looks as good as ever. Absolutely loved the attention and to be able to give this star a bit of a cuddle was some experience! Coolmore has an interactive "trophy room". It's like a museum, with all the trophy's and prizes they won, racing memorabilia, one extra room with interactive screens to watch races from the past etc.., as well as the real (stuffed) Sadler'ss Wells standing right in the middle of the room!
