rorylando45
Re: Communities League Cup > Tuesday September 16th The 19/10 on Inverness is a gift here imo. Last time they met was in this same competition 2 years ago, when Inverness strolled to a 3-0 win at Ibrox. You could argue that Rangers have improved since then but so have Inverness. Rangers form may seem impressive initially on paper, but when you look at the quality of the teams they are beating it puts it into perspective. The fact is, as soon as they come up against any team of reasonable quality (look at their cup competition results from the past few seasons), they get shown up. Will be all over the 19/10 on Inverness to win in 90, and might have small stakes on the -1 EH too.
HurlyBurlyMan
Re: Communities League Cup > Tuesday September 16th Inverness should beat them but they won't, IMO. Why, because they have an inept, tactically naive manager in John Hughes. Yes Inverness have started well in the league but it's in spite of Hughes not because of him. He's very lucky because Butcher left him with a very strong squad and even luckier that none of them left in pre-season. But its only a matter of time before his tinkering de-stabilises the team, and the wheels start to come off. A recent drubbing at the hands of Partick Thistle should be enough of a warning. Good luck if you're backing ICT, if Butcher was still in charge I'd also be tempted by the price. But I'll be swerving this one.
HurlyBurlyMan
Re: Communities League Cup > Tuesday September 16th Hughes strikes again - sent his side out to sit and defend for almost 90 mins. Criminal tactics.
