Japan Racing Association Sceptre Stakes(Group 3) (1) 7f Charles Hills was quoted saying this week that Kiyoshi is now behind all of her troubles and that he has her in peak fitness for tomorrow. If she does recapture her Albany Stakes form of last year, she could make a mockery of this field. Sir Michael Stoute's Bragging heads the betting @ 3/1 in general which looks plenty short enough in a field of this nature. However, there is no doubt this filly has plenty of ability after she routed a field in a good York handicap when last seen. She certainly looks a group filly in the makings but I am not so sure she should be such a short price. I am pretty happy with my each-way bet on Kiyoshi, the vibes from the yard look promising. Re: Flat Racing > Thursday September 11th (St Leger Festival) Dfs Park Hill Stakes(Group 2) (1) 1m6f 132yds It is always very interesting when Aidan O'Brien sends a runner over to the UK for a pattern race and he runs Venus De Milo here, an inconsistent but classy 4 year old filly out of Duke of Marmalade. She was tailed off when last seen at York but is would be no surprise if she left that form well behind tomorrow. John Gosden's Criteria also has to be mentioned given how well the yard have done this season and with William Buick on board she is bound to go well. She finished 3rd in the Ribblesdale and hasn't been disgraced since but for me this race revolves around the Fanshawe horse Seal of Approval. If the ground is good to soft she will thrive in the conditions and is the one to beat.
