In that tournament he beat the likes of Mark Williams and Anthony Hamilton so he is clearly in good nick and will be out to land a title having agonisingly missed out on one earlier in the month. Allen remains one of the top players in the game and in terms of rankings only Robert Milkins is remotely close to the top 16 in his quarter so this looks a good chance for Allen to have another deep run.
