Flat Racing - York Ebor Festival Week Thread

Recommended Posts

York 3:40 Wednesday - Juddmonte International Stakes(Group 1) (1) 1m2f 88yds Australia had initially been installed as the 1/2 favourite a while back but with all this commotion about Joseph O'Brien not being able to get down to a suitable weight in recent weeks the horse has drifted to a very nice price. There probably will be some market support for both Telescope or Mukhadram as a lot of layers try to get this favourite turned over but according to the form book there is only one winner of this race and that is Australia. The 3 year old won the Epsom Derby and followed up by winning the Irish Derby. Aidan was quoted saying this is the best horse he has ever trained and with the ground in his favour I can't back against him. Australia - 10 Points WIN @ 8/11 Betfred Read Full Preview @ http://www.punterslounge.com/juddmonte-international-preview-australia-an-appealing-8-11-to-prevail-in-the-hands-of-joseph

That looks a good price for Australia! JOB will probably be a couple of lb over weight but owners/trainer obviously feel that he has enough in hand with the WFA allowance to still win comfortably. Really looking forward to this weeks racing and in particular Taghrooda in the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks. Good to see York have both the Derby and Oaks winners entered and hopefully prove how good the 3yo's are this season.
