Uprise 6.50pm Yarmouth - 10-1 Bet365 (BOG) - 1pt WIN Refuse Colette is worthy favourite but just keeps going up the ratings for winning awful races at class 6 level but does so convincingly. Won off 46 in June and now races off 69, a mark 23lb higher than that first win this season. I have that one as favourite and Uprise at about 6-1. I backed him at Doncaster and he was awful but just dwelt from the stalls and I knew within half a furlong that I had no chance of winning. Ran over 7f last time out but was one paced at the end of the race and finished 3rd. Drops back to 6f here which looks ideal and has already won here over this trip on good to firm ground. Not exactly the most consistent with 2 wins from 17 starts but has been tried in better races (class 4 and class 3) at tracks like Newbury, Newmarket, Ascot and Windsor. Weak looking race that Uprise could take and turn over the odds on favourite. I don't fancy backing class 6 winners in class 5 races at odds on and would rather a smaller bet on Uprise that looks a few points longer than it should be.
