jackierubberleg
Thought there may be a bit of interest here, given that the women's event is being staged at Pinehurst No 2 just a week after the men. The event will be live on Sky Sports. Starting at 8pm on Thursday. The link below may be useful to anyone unfamiliar with the ladies game. http://www.lpga.com/default.aspx
jackierubberleg
Re: U.S Womens Open. 19th-22nd June. Pinehurst No 2 Inbee Park EW 8/1 Coral 1,2,3,4,5 As witnessed last week, you don't need knee deep rough to make life difficult for those who stray from the fairway. So I believe once again we need to select a player with a fair degree of accuracy of the tee. Martin Kaymer led a rather charmed life at times last week or Pinehurst No 2 would have shackled all 156 players to no more than a couple under power. Inbee Park ticks quite a few boxes when looking for the lady that can tame the North Carolina course this week. She holds a top thirty ranking in driving accuracy. A top forty in GIR and is the number one putter on the women's tour and that in itself is a big ace around here. Eight top ten finishes out of eleven starts speaks volumes about her seasonal form. Overall I believe last year's winner holds the necessary weapons to bring down the Pinehurst beast.
