Aidymac Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Pontefract 2:40 Early on in the season when the ground is a bit softer than later on in the year, the stats at Pontefract show that it pays to be drawn low. This makes Wotalad far too big a price at around 25/1 in my opinion drawn in Stall 1. The 4 year old ran no sort of race at Beverley on his seasonal re-appearance, finishing last but firstly he is not a 5 furlong horse and secondly he should come on a lot for the run. The ground was also very heavy that day so the run can be ignored. The horse is still a maiden but he went very close in a Class 6 handicap at Southwell last December. He is off his career low mark on turf now of 54, 4 pounds lower than when he went off the 5/2 favourite over 5f at Redcar last summer but he got going too late that day.
