Been dutching a bit on the football this season and want to include betfair prices for next year. I am uncertain how to calculate the betfair price with its 5% deduction if it wins. If the price is 3.0 then the bet should win one time in three so your tax is 5/3= 1.66%. so real price is 100/3 +1.66=34.99 = 2.857. can one of you mathematicians please confirm.

Re: real betfair price tax considered Make sure you check each market, last time i looked there was a message, " because of your location (Netherlands) your base commission is now 8% " and more on some markets, so don't assume a blank 5% , it differs, check per market to be sure.
