Ruth Carr has a couple of horses in this race and both look to have some sort of chance but I am going to take a chance with Mysterial. This horse has come right down the weights to a mark of 69 and ran his best race for some time last time out over a mile at Musselburgh. It was a very eye catching run as he was held up right out the back and had plenty of trouble in running before finishing a 2 length 4th. I got the impression there was still plenty in the tank as he crossed the line and he looks very interesting with top jockey at the track P J Mcdonald taking over from 5lb claimer Kevin Stott. The horses only ever other run over a mile resulted in a win in a claimer at Warwick. The Ruth Carr horses are running well without winning but she is a trainer to follow when she's hot. She has won this race twice in recent years and she looks to have a good chance of making it 3 wins in the race.
