Re: Crabbie's Handicap Hurdle > 4:50pm Friday April 4th Aintree 4:50 - Dan Skelton does not bring many horses here to Aintree but he has some nice horses in his yard and this horse Like Minded looks a big price at 25/1 with Bet365. The 10 year old gelding won a Class 2 handicap over course and distance at 12/1 back in December beating Party Rock by 3/4 of a length. Course form can be vital around here and that is one big positive for the horse tomorrow. He is now 8 pounds higher in the weights since that win but he ran a fine race off a 5 pound higher mark at Kempton soon after when finishing 3rd to Saphir De Rheu. He travelled well at Ascot last time out but folded badly but he should be freshened up for this and I think he is capable of a very big run. With four places on offer it is a good chance to back two selections each way for a bit of value and the other horse of interest here is the Colin Tizzard trained Grand Vision who is a 25/1 chance with Stan James at the moment. He finished 2nd to Uncle Jimmy in a Pertemps Qualifier at Warwick off a mark of 140 back in January with an inexperienced jockey on board. He gets to run off the same mark here tomorrow and has a much better jockey in Brendan Powell on top so if he could repeat that effort it would see him go close here. He never landed a blow in the Pertemps but I can forgive him that run and he finished 3rd in the Albert Bartlett behind Bridisi Breeze in 2012 so clearly has plenty of ability. The Malcolm Jefferson trained Attaglance will be looking to make amends for his unfortunate 2nd place finish in the Handicap Chase at Cheltenham. Brian Hughes made a big error that day trying to go up a route that was never there so he will be out to prove a point tomorrow. The Donald McCain trained Stonebrook who is owned by JP McManus looks a very progressive young horse and he has done all that could have been asked of him in the run of to this so he could be a really good horse. Caid Du Berlais ran a lovely race when 3rd in the Martin Pipe at the festival a few weeks ago and a repeat effort would see the Paul Nicholls charge go close here so it is a very open race indeed.
