American Idol...It's time to ROCK!!

Recommended Posts

Ok...Embarrassing as it is to admit watching this, there is still money to be made.. The best two singers are Anwar and Bo Bice. However the trends dictate that the next winner is going to be a white male, and America loves a good rocker. Bo Bice fit's the mould of the next American Idol, and although Carrie has now taken over as the favourite, I cannot see another female winning this, and she just isnt different enough to take the mantle. Anwar is probably the best singer, but he lacks the consistancy to win it. The outsider that could spoil the party is the other rocker - Constantine who aint as good as Bo, but has more charisma and he could yet shock..However Bo Bice is a great singer and it is time to rock!! (Queue Bill and Ted air guitar..) Bo Bice to win American Idol @ 3.55 (Betfair) 10 point stake Constantine to win American Idol @ 27's (Betfair) 2 point stake (Stake based on 1-20 points)

Re: American Idol...It's time to ROCK!! It's got to be Carrie Underwood for me. She has taken my breath away from the very first auditions - along with that punk R&B kid A'ashia(a pity she didn't make the last 24) and I just couldn't agree more than what Simon Cowell said last week when he boldly predicted "Not only do I think you'll win this tournament, I also believe you'll go on to sell more records than any of the previous AI winners". In addition to that, I think her profile and background fits in rather differently with the rest of the group and she has just got that sort of mass appeal which IMO will win the hearts of many Americans - a good-looking, religious farm girl who also happens to be a straight A's student, I feel many people will be voting on that basis to do away with, for once, the lot of spoilt, overrated, pompous mugs (which I feel perhaps explains Ruben Stoddard's somewhat surprising win in AI2 as well). She certainly espouses all the American virtues we've grown accustomed to not seeing since George Bush took office! She's just got everything going for her and even though her odds look a bit skinny, I just can't help but feel she has everything going for her. :clap On a sidenote, for those keen to back and lay, there might be some value on Anthony Fedorov - for starters, he's got the looks to win the votes of a few teenage lasses to sustain his challenges for a few more weeks IMO and he certainly is a better singer than some of the other 9 still hanging around. 100 certainly looks too generous for me... :tongue2
