The PGA Tour stays in Hawaii this week for the first full tournament of 2014 the Sony Open. A decent enough field has been assembled headlined by Adam Scott so hopefully the weather stays good and we can get another good tournament going. All things Hawaii in here :ok.

Re: Sony Open - 9-12 Jan 20 year old Jordan Spieth is certainly a young man going places, he is now up to a ranking of 17th in the world and caught the eye again last weekend. He finished 2nd to Zach Johnson in the Tournament of Champions with a cracking overall score of -18 and picked up a lovely prize of $665k. He won the John Deere Classic in a play off last year so even though he is a very young lad, he knows how to cross that winning line. He certainly looks like he is going to step it up to another level in 2014 looking at his early form this season and he is a player to watch with plenty of interest. He also will have had a nice rest as this tournament is also in Hawaii so he won't have to travel far from last week and his ball flight should all be under control given the climate. This is a very short course, only 7,044 yards which will also be right up his street. He might be well up to going one better this weekend. Jordan Spieth - 5 Points each-way @ 16/1 Paddy Power (6 Places) Season Total +95 Points
