12.20 Southwell Mr Burbridge has been in great form and you cant knock that having racked up a 3 timer but has never tried this surface. Last seen beating Scribe by 1.75 lengths at Wolves over this sort of trip only 1lb worse off with that rival and if returning in same form and coping with surface should run another good race but obvious risks. Med Sea is a regular around here and is now 1lb below last winning mark here, but this trip may be a little too far for him. Monzino doesn’t often help himself, often travels well but downs tools in the finish and has an akward head carriage but has run 2 very good races latest including bolting up at Wolves latest, quickly up 8lb and never had to run off a mark this high before. Yasir shaped as a non stayer over this trip at Lingfield in Novembe, but does go well here so one to bear in mind. Scribe gets a 1lb turnaround with Mr Burbridge and he is clearly working his way back to something like his best but never won off a mark this high. Outrageous Request was fit from a spell over hurdles when scraping home from the front at Lingfield last time out over this trip, pushed up 3lb for that win. Only had 2 tries on this surface in younger days and seemed to enjoy including a good second off 77, running off 73 today so has the form to go on from that win and is clearly in good heart at present. 2pt win Outrageous Request 9/2 bet365 3.00 Southwell Typical fibresand classified stakes fairly poor and most of these make no interest at all. Bond Blade only has one winner in a seller and that did come over this course but has shown next to nothing since. Borough Boy is largely consistent but has yet to try this surface and only 1 win to date in a dreadful maiden but this isn’t much better, likely to give his running if handling surface. Island Express had plenty of opportunities and still yet to find an opening unlikely to find this will be it neither. Misty Eyes appears to have improved for the fitting of a visor but is another yet to try this surface with is a worry and would still need to find more to overcome some of this lot. Pearl Noir had shaped as if he was a fibresand specialist having always run above previous efforts around here. Finally off the mark in a weak maiden over CD last time out, a repeat of that would see him hard to beat around here again. 2pt win Pearl Noir

Re: Flat Racing Sunday 29th Dec 3.30 - Southwell - Bapak Sayang @ 14/1 Bet365 My first selection for tomorrow comes from the AW. Bapak Sayang isn’t the most straightforward of horses but he does look well handicapped in my opinion. He was placed off marks nearly 10lb higher than this earlier in the summer so if he can put it all together tomorrow i see him having a great chance. On his penultimate start he make his fibresand debut over this C&D and he ran well given a fairly aggressive ride. Pulling clear with a few other rivals he was only beaten a couple of lengths in a better race than tomorrows. He went off favourite nto at Lingfield in a competitive little race, but probably went off too hard and set the race up for the hold up horses in behind. He’s been dropped 4lb since his last race over C&D, he’s unexposed on this surface and if he sees his race out abit better i can see him winning this. Not the strongest race for the grade either. I think Powerful Wind will be popular but his winning time was nearly 2 seconds slower than the C&D race my selection ran well in, and he has to give Bapak Sayang a fair amount of weight tomorrow. I was expecting around 8/1 so 14's looks far too big imo.
