Re: Boxing - Dec 14-15 4pts L.Purdy to beat L.Bundu 7/5 Boylesports Purdy is being a bit underrated here I think. Sure Bundu is going to come to fight and he’s going to stand and trade but he doesn’t carry massive power at 39 and Purdy is more than capable of riding a few shots to land his own heavy shots. It wasn’t all plain sailing for Bundu to get to the UK and that might have taken its toll but with Purdy the younger man and having mixed in decent company I’ll take him here. The hatred is genuine and that always makes for a good fight. I don’t think Maidana is without a chance in this fight. Malignaggi wasn’t disgraced against Broner and Maidana carries a lot more power than the American so he can earn Broner’s respect. Broner is probably a fair favourite but if he can’t stop Maidana coming at him then it could be a long night. I’ll take a small punt on Maidana here.
