Flat Racing > Wednesday December 4th

Lingfield 1:00 Have to say, this is going to be a cracking race on paper so I hope it lives up to expectations. Surely if Tangerine Trees comes back to anywhere his best, even off top weight he will be far too good for the rest. This fella has run in the Nunthorpe, King's Stand Stakes and was running in Group 2/Group 3 company pretty regularly. He was an electric turn of foot and although he has been out of sorts of late mainly due to the fact he hasn't been able to get his own way up front. He has a nice pitch in Stall 5 tomorrow and in a field which is easily winnable for him if near his best, if he gets a soft lead here he can pull clear. Tangerine Trees WIN @ 8/1 Boylesports

Re: Flat Racing > Wednesday December 4th 7.20 - Kempton - Ovatory @ 11/1 BetVictor I'm quite keen on this one, and struggle to see why he is such big odds in a class 6 race full of exposed types. Ovatory is very unexposed on the other hand having only had 4 career runs to date. He showed ability in maidens but its his handicap debut last time out that interests me. He ran a very creditable race to my eye under an aggressive ride from Andrea Atzeni, infact he looked like he could steal the race from the front right up until the furlong pole, trading as low as 1.5. He weakened in the final furlong but drops back in trip from 7f down to 6f so that speed he showed should be utilised better. He has been dropped 3lbs for that run which i feel is slightly generous, and that allows him to slip into a 0-60 event which should be less competitive than his previous start. Blinkers have been applied for the first time and Jim Crowley takes the ride which is a massive positive at Kempton in my mind, especially for a yard which he has a 20% strike rate for in the past year.
